A piece of my soul stays there

When we've decided to have a rejuvenating day swimming in a pool and relaxing in sauna we ended up doing all this in... a church. Virgin Active health club located in Repton Park one hour drive away from London is actually based in the old church and the pool inside completely blew my mind away. Absolute peace and relaxation for your body and soul. & all those continues echoes of every single water drop is better that any meditation music.

Truly magic place and worth visiting!

The sun behind the clouds

Chilly wind and a grey sky are not the best conditions for a perfect outdoor photo shoot.
Especially here in London you can experience all 4 seasons during one day.
Expect the best but be ready for the worst - as they say.
But sometimes it seems that a great photographer with some magic skills can create an absolute masterpiece out of nowhere.

Super inspiring and charming photographer from LA Saint Peter John managed to brighten up a very typical day in London. Check more of his street fashion photography here http://www.thefashionfuneral.com/

& have a look at those few sun rays from the afternoon in The City

London. My wild and urban jungle

A very sudden.
Not highly expected.
And not very well planned.
But definitely a big one -
My move to London.

They say the bigger the city is - the smaller and less important you feel.
Yes, it definitely feels like you are a tiny little bird in this massive urban jungle.
Massive and very wild I must add.

Londoners are persistent fighters, challenge seekers and devoted "solders".
And it was my very first impression which actually hasn't really changed since.
Sometimes it even seems that people here are so much oriented into creating a better tomorrow that they do not realize how actually good today is.

Spanish mindset is the opposite one - people are more concentrated into enjoying today so there is actually no time left to worry about tomorrow.
This is why I sometimes miss that Spanish fling...

Because today is all what we have.

My little heaven

The summer in Lithuania is always a perfect time to be.
The nature is amazing and gives you bunch of adventures.
One of it is incredibly beautiful cost by the Baltic sea named Curonian Spit. It is a magic place which really has something mysterious - some kind of magic calmness and total peace. It is so relaxing to be in a quite and almost lonely beaches and to enjoy the silence and morning birds songs in clean and fresh forest.

This place is definitely a peace of heaven on earth.

I wish to each of you to have your own little heaven which cuddles your heart.

New York. The city of dreams

They say: "New York is not a city. It is a world."

The world  with the energy which inspires you every day.
It inspires you each time you are walking along the endless avenues.
Each time you lift your head and see the limitless sky.
Which somehow reflects the limitless of this City.
...
New York inspires you to dream big.

The place to come back. And to taste the life of being a newyorker

A great escape to Miami

In March I had a perfect escape to Miami with my lovely ladies. The girls with whom I grew up and with whom now we live thousands kilometers away from each other.
But that was just a brilliant idea to escape from Europe and to meet up all together for a Spring break in Miami.

People say - Miami is a magic city. I agree.
Magic here is all that urbanized glamour that you can see around.
I always love when a little bit of magic happens in my life.

Take a look at those few wonderful magic moments from our Miami trip.

bonjour la parisienne

"How to be Parisian wherever you are. Love, style and bad habits"
by Anne Berest, Audrey Diwan, Caroline De Maigret, Sophie Mas

I would say - do not be a Parisian if you are actually not. Just simply be who ever you really are.

But without analyzing the title from philosophical and linguistic perspective, this book is just full of really great and sometimes even funny stereotypes of Parisian woman.
It is full of feminine thoughts that at the end will lead you to the conclusion - elegance and a great style is always hidden in a simplicity.

In this book you can definitely learn some simple tricks of style manners, how to combine different colors of your outfit and which colors belong to which season.
It is just a very healthy dose of classy Parisian style rules.
Lucky Parisian women have it all coded in their genes.

Hopefully this book can be a great style adviser for others who are willing to learn it.

Just finished reading this book on my favorite sunny Sunday spot - Barcelona pier.

Hello December

And so the winter started in Barcelona too! I am pretty happy to be here in South during the winter time! Winter in Barcelona means +13. While back in my home town Vilnius it is -13!

The only moment when I miss a little bit of cold and snow is Christmas time! The time when snow gives a bit of magic to everything. So I am already looking forward for some winterish adventures this Christmas back home!

Stay warm & cozy!

With love,
Karolina

Strawberry from childhood

While living abroad one of the most precious moment is when your people are visiting you. By saying your people I mean simply the ones with whom you grew up together. Who are your best friends no matter what. Cause best friends are formed by time that leads all to a mature friendship.

Say hi to Goda. My bestie from my home town. We met at my aunt's summer house when we both were around 4 years old. I am still sure that back then she was just about to steal my aunt's strawberries from the garden.

Now when we meet we never drink champagne without fresh strawberries.

Champagne por tout le monde!

Blue and white

One more flash back to my summer time. My holiday in Porto city in Portugal.

One of the most impressive buildings - Capela das Almas. I couldn't resist not to sneak some pictures of this amazing church, all decorated with blue and white tiles. Which all together mingle in a stunning solid picture. I really love it!

Buildings decorated with colorful tiles is the main feature of Porto city architecture.

Un Beso,

Pavilion Mies van der Rohe

If not my dutch friend, who is freshly graduated architect, I wouldn't have an idea to visit this house. And if not his brief explanation why is it so impressive, for me it would be just a plain, a little bit empty modern house. But you don't really have to understand architecture from deep perspective to get the point why this house became so popular.

For me it was quite enough to know that this house first time was built in 1929 for International exposition in Barcelona. Try to imagine back then normally most of the houses were made of wood and stones! Now it makes sense and seems worth to visit. It really looks so modern and so nowadays building with continuous space blurring inside and outside.

Check out some pic from my visit there. (The second one is taken from here)
